Today, Zagreb Airport Catering Ltd. has expanded its catering services to "ground catering" - catering for parties and receptions.

Zagreb Airport Catering Ltd., with its catering tradition of 40 years, sets standards not only in Croatia, but also outside the country. After conducting catering service inspections, British Airways granted the second place to Zagreb Airport Catering among 146 stations. Bearing in mind that the competition comprised catering stations throughout Europe, including French culinary chefs, this award seems even greater recognition of a Croatian company employed in catering. But not only the English are satisfied with the services of Zagreb Airport Catering Ltd. Besides our national carrier, Croatia Airlines, food is also supplied to Lufthansa, ČSA, Air France, Malev (Hungary), Malaysia Airlines, Turkish Airlines, and others.

Thanks to the wide experience of skilled personnel and capacities of modernised kitchens, 150 employees of Zagreb Airport Catering Ltd. (50 of who work in the kitchen) are able to prepare up to 5,000 meals a day. At this moment, due to low air traffic, the average number is about 3,500 meals a day. It should also be mentioned that every air carrier has its own menu and special requests. But no matter whether these meals are only sandwiches for short domestic flights or exquisite meals served to passengers flying to remote destinations, the care taken is still the same. Hygiene is at the highest level and it meets the highest European and world catering standards.

Except preparing food for aircraft passengers, Zagreb Airport Catering Ltd. also prepares and serves food in two restaurants within Zagreb Airport area assigned to employees. At Zagreb Airport there is also a newly redecorated modern restaurant, Faust Vrančić, which can serve 380 passengers and guests in the pleasant atmosphere of its air-conditioned and soundproof area. In a restaurant with a view of aircraft landing and take-off, business or family gatherings may achieve a completely new dimension.

Zagreb Airport Catering Ltd. 's new activity is "ground catering". Compared to other catering firms in Croatia, this service distinguishes itself with personnel and modern equipment that enables top-quality catering for even 2,000 people. Except catering, our services include decoration of the restaurant area and the setting of tablecloths, glasses, plates, cutlery, etc. According to general manager, the proofs of their quality are the numerous eminent companies which are more than satisfied by these catering services. Among them are Zagrebačka Bank, Privredna Bank and World Bank, Zagreb Brewery, Henkel and Elektrolux. Zagreb Airport Catering Ltd. has also handled catering at important performances and exhibitions like Beer Festival in Bowl Centre in Zagreb, Croatian Classics, the concert of Andrea Bocceli in the concert hall "Vatroslav Lisinski" and the 4th European Handball Championship.
