On the basis of documentation of integrated quality system of Zagreb Airport, Ltd. and orientation of the company towards sustainable development, the General Manager of Zagreb Airport, Ltd. brought the following

ENVIRONMENT MANAGEMENT POLICY

Environment Management System is based on the principles of sustainable development, and in accordance with requirements of international ISO 14001:1996 norm it is part of integrated quality system of Zagreb Airport, Ltd., which comprises all structural parts, defined business processes and environment aspects.

Zagreb Airport, Ltd. continuously plans, implements, checks and evaluates the effectiveness of undertaken activities related to environmental protection by way of fulfilment of requirements contained in international norms and regulations, as well as Croatian law, with purpose of environment quality improvement and control of damaging effects on environment.

All participants of business process are conscious of continual need for environmental protection and relating preventive measures. It is being achieved by development stimulation and modern running of business process and technologies oriented towards reduction of damaging impact on environment, improvement of power and raw material exploitability level, and waste management. Moreover, special attention is paid to the studying of practice of European and world airports, permanent specialisation and training, most of all of the executive staff.

Activity plans and environmental protection procedures are constantly being adjusted with requirements of international ISO 14001:1996 norms. The fulfilment of these norms represents the minimum level of Environment Management Quality System of Zagreb Airport, Ltd.

Environment Management Policy is a preliminary for evaluating the reached level of general and particular management’s objectives concerning environment management. Company Management and workers systematically and entirely implement this Policy through the realisation of set objectives on all management levels, as well as through procedure performance.

Environment Management Policy binds all employees and is stated in all documents of integrated Quality System of Zagreb Airport, Ltd. Effectiveness of the System is periodically examined and evaluated by the Management.

Contribution to the implementation of Environment Management Policy is considered as a contribution to the improvement of Zagreb Airport, Ltd. Quality System.

The Environment Management Policy is publicly announced.
